Clay, Subject 23, 1895”, the front has a left facing, youthful, diademed bust of the Queen with wavy hair tied back, one loose curl descending from knot, with the name W. Wyon underneath, on the verso is inscribed “National Medal for Success in Art Awarded by the Science and Art Department”, 2¼ inches across, in original velvet lined leather case
