SLEIGH (William, Attorney)

Autograph Letter Signed to Messrs Crachlows, saying that "Mr Rabson tells me that some of the best Customers that have dealt with him since he has been in Trade, will immediately go to some other Shop if the Goods which they have ordered are not sent home directly", he engages that "if you'll supply him with Hatts ... to the amount of one Hundred Pounds on the usual Credit ... I will pay you that Money ... and will give you any further undertaking", followed by their draft reply, "As I consider you & Mr H stand pledged to us for the payment of Rabson & Lomacks Debts and you the only Cause I am Kept out of it I am determined not to furnish any more Goods to them. Tis in your power ... to assent to the Sale of the Estates - to put Rabsons Credit on a better footing and ... prevent them the Disgrace & us the Trouble ... There can be no difficulty in your obtaining them Goods from other Houses but ... it would be the Height of Folly for us ... until we find in you an Active Inclination to do us Compleat Justice", together 3 sides 8vo, addressee's name on fourth side, Whitehall, 28th June
