TUKE TELLS THE MOTHER OF HIS SITTER THAT THE “DEAR LITTLE BOY CONTROLLED HIMSELF VERY PRETTILY”
TUKE
(Henry Scott, 1858-1929, Painter, R.A.)
Fine illustrated Autograph Letter Signed to Mrs Robinson,
telling her that “business is so pressing today, I have to address you from my City offices... your dear little boy controlled himself very prettily, indeed he seemed pleased to think he might remain half an hour longer so near his indulgent mother... he did say he wished he had had another of those sausages, a thought which would have been greedy in an adult but is charming and natural in such a little fellow... I should like to run across one aft. from Red. Hill, especially if there happened to be an organ recital. Perhaps Miss Robinson did say Philipine first, but I said it loudest...” and there is a picture of a little boy eating a sausage, 4 sides 8vo., Market Buildings, London headed paper, 7th May
