Treasury Document Signed, unusual in being complete,
for £25 each to Sir Joseph Ayloffe, (1709-1781, F.R.S., Vice-President of the Society of Antiquaries), Andrew Coltee Ducarel (1713-1785, Librarian at Lambeth Palace), and Thomas Astle (1735-1803, owner of the 'Stowe' MSS in the British Library), and 2 further £25 for "Clerks" and "Expences", for their work "to methodize and ... digest the papers & records of state remaining in the Paper Office at Whitehall", the ancestor of the P.R.O., with their receipt signatures on the verso, margins extended on three sides, 2 sides folio, 18th July
light cancel stroke on payment, some short tears in the extended margins
