After poor Lula [Mrs Hollond] having no cushion or nightdress it seems a little hard that more of the baggage should have gone wrong. Please tell her we sympathized deeply ... when we discovered her cushion ... We miss you both very much ... this new party speak much more Swedish, which makes everything a little flat for me at meals", on top of "the dull Swedish way of all the men going off ... in vain do Daisy & I protest, so it ends in our playing the piano or telling stories", a dinner tonight with 30 people promises to be amusing, and tomorrow "we are going to see a musical play at Helsingborg !!", 4 sides 8vo., Sophiero, near Helsingborg, Sweden, 18th September

Aunty told me that you try to jump out of the carrige but now you must not do it again since you have seen your picture - From Victoria", 2 sides 3¾" x 4¾", no place, no date, circa a little worn, a few original smudges, spike hole in corner touching one letter, original fold and trace of a light crease, all without loss

Group of 9 informal photographs taken on board the Royal Yacht 'Victoria & Albert', showing her in a white dress and straw hat, (3" x 1¾"), also with the young Princesses Margaret & Patricia of Connaught wearing sailor suits, and 5 groups of the ladies and officers aboard, (about 40 in all), notable among the latter are General Sir Charles Keyes, 1822-1896, and his three sons, of whom Roger Keyes, (1872-1945, the famous Admiral and 1st Baron, Naval ADC to the Queen 1895-1898), had already served in the anti-slaving patrols in East Africa, with names added below, many attractive details of the yacht's furnishings, these other photos approximately 5¾" x 4", laid down on 2 sides album card 14" x 10¼", Cowes, Isle of Wight, 1st - 17th August the card a little browned in places, likewise three of the photos, one phot odefective in one blank corner of image, but a most engaging collection

Manuscript Extract from their Lady-in-Waiting's Account Book, distinguishing 'Joint Account' and individual payments, the earliest, headed 'Spring 1890' and in pencil, being in Marks and Pfennigs, including 880.80 to Bacharach and 120 to 'Massage' (side 5), the rest in pounds, shillings and pence, headed 'Summer 1890' and in ink, with payments to individuals such as Madame Rubens and shops such as Marshall & Snelgrove, Barker, Harvey & Nichol, and Gorrin[g]e, on side 2 is the grand total of £447 9s 10d, which includes the German money converted at 20 to the £, a delightful peep into their shopping habits, 5 single sides 11" x 8", no place, neat staples in left margin
