Fine souvenir booklet of tributes to Lord Beaverbrook, as presented "by his Colleagues on ... his seventieth birthday", in two parts, the first, anonymous, "to the Old Eagle on the topmost branch", by his staff, and full of good things, "... When he comes upon a piece of news, watch his mind expand - no, explode ! ... It is like Columbus discovering America every day in time for the last edition", the second, "The Warrior: The Gratitude of Nations", recalls what Churchill, Lord Dowding, Averill Harriman, Sir John Sinclair and many others said at the time, Churchill having made Beaverbrook Minister for Aircraft Production, and then Minister of Supply, with "magical" results for the Battle of Britain, opposite each are full page photographs, followed by "The Press on Beaverbrook", 1940-1944, extracts beginning "Lord Beaverbrook's tactic is that of inspired brigandage" (Economist, 30th November 1940), 43 sides 10" x 7½" in blue paper covers bearing his coat of arms, 25th May
