PHILIP IV
(1605-1665, King of Spain from 1621 and King Philip III of Portugal 1621-40)
Clerk Written Document in Spanish, signed with a stamped signature 'Yo El Rey' to Rodrigo de Borja Lanzol,
Lieutenant and Captain General of the Kingdom of Mallorca, referring to a report received from Miguel Ferrandell regarding the Court decisions imposed against his person and goods, and claiming justice, and orders to withdraw such sentence and give him back the right to return to the Kingdom, in the meantime the King requests from his correspondent his own report and explanations on this matter, he says that "Don Miguel Ferrandoll has given to me a memorial refuting/disproving the discomforts, damages ... on your reputation that you have suffered ... I have ordered to cancel the published charges and remove the embargo and distribute your goods so the public satisfaction returns to them. And before taking resolution on the matter, it seems proper to ask and command you, as I do, to inform me and tell to me your opinion about all these and if you will be able to give them license to return to your kingdom so you can do what's best ...", 1 side folio with papered seal on the verso, Aranjuez, 16th May
