Telegram as received by the pianist and violinist  Alice Verne BREDT , (1868-1958, in pencil), from the Queen's private secretary, expressing "sincere thanks for your message of good wishes", Buckingham Palace, 31st January

Mrs. Verne Bredt's sister Mathilde taught the present Queen Mother the piano, and she herself gave marionette performances to the Royal Family.
