Together with an interesting and detailed review from The Times (January 1845) of Serle's 'The Priest's Daughter' - the first attempt by the present management of Sadler's Wells to bring out an original drama on a grand scale, as opposed to the adaptations in vogue, and naming Serle as one of the most zealous supporters of legitimacy.
