Autograph Letter Signed to the Anglo-Saxon scholar Benjamin Thorpe, F.S.A., 1782-1870, saying that "in the midst of the worry and hurry of classifying the exercises of pupils ... for the close of our winter's work" he rejoices at Thorpe's news "about the Chronicle. We shall have one at least of our most valuable monuments resuscitated worthily by worthy hands and native ones ...
