Six Documents or Letters in German with translations, addressed to Professor Karl Franz Christian WAGNER,
(1760-1847), four signed 'Carl W F H[erzo]g.', one by his ministers G.S.A. v. PRAUN, (1701-1786), and J. v. HÖGEN, andanother is also signed by his finance minister J.B. FÉRONCE v. ROTENCREUZ, (1723-1799), and one copy document from the Duke and Féronce, showing the Duke's great interest in Education, particularly the Collegium Carolinum, Brunswick at a critical period. Founded by Karl I in 1745 and where the Duke himself had been a pupil, today the Technical University has 17,000 students. Two items are letters of appointment at the Carolinum, two thank Wagner for his edition of Shakespeare's Plays (8 volumes, Brunswick, 1797-1801), in all 13 sides folio and 2 sides 4to with conjugate blanks, Brunswick, 1781 -
